Vidal Llerenas Morales, alumnus of the Economics Undergraduate Program at ITAM, was appointed undersecretary of Industry and Commerce for the Secretary of Economy, becoming part of the economic cabinet for this administration.

Dr. Llerenas has over 25 years of experience in the public and political sphere. Previously, he served as Undersecretary of Expenditure for the then Federal District government and Secretary of the Finance and Public Account Commission. His trajectory includes positions like director of the Social Comptrollership in States and Municipalities in the Ministry of Public Function, federal representative for three terms, local representative, and most recently, mayor of Azcapotzalco in Mexico City (2018-2021). In his legislative work, he was a member of the LXI Legislature as secretary of the Budget Commission, managing significant resources for investment projects in the then Federal District.
