We extend our congratulations to Ana Laura Magaloni Kerpel, alumna of the Law Undergraduate Program at ITAM, for winning the 2024 National Jurisprudence Award. This prestigious award, granted annually, honors outstanding lawyers for their valued services to Mexican society and their contribution to the dissemination and strengthening of the law. This award is one of the highest honors in the legal field and one of the most important legal recognitions in the Spanish-speaking world. 

Magaloni, doctor in Law by the Autonomous University of Madrid, has had an outstanding academic trajectory. Her experience includes roles as visiting researcher in the European Law Research Center of Harvard University and as guest lecturer in the International and Comparative Law Research Center of the University of California at Berkeley. At ITAM, she gave classes on Constitutional Law, while in the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE), she taught classes like Constitutional Law, Law Theory II, Support seminar on law research and education and Contemporary Law Issues. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Magaloni also led the Program for the Reform of Law Education (2000-2005), where she collaborated with the Stanford’s Law School and the University of Diego Portales of Chile, to implement an innovative pedagogic model at the CIDE, transforming the teaching of Law in Mexico. Her impact extends to the corporate area, having been counselor for the BBVA Administrative Council, and currently she participates actively in the Advisory Council of Impunidad Cero and the Advisory Board of Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity A.C.
